CONTEMPLATING MOON Contemplating Moon has a distinctly oriental flair to it. The colors, for one, the circular shape, and the subliminal nod to sign of yin and yang. In certain ways, it also has the feel of a huge oriental coin. In a manner of speaking, it is not only a sculpture, but an abstract painting as well. The figure in the lower left was added last and it appears to be watching over a tiny village and up at the moon. Contemplating Moon is 36" in diameter and is composed of copper, and acrylic.
