HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL SHOT FROM A DIFFERENT ANGLE
I'm not going to go into depth about the gravity of this sculpture on this page. I've done it elsewhere. Suffice it to say, there are six figures, ranging from eight to twelve feet, representing six million human beings who were killed.
From a different artistic standpoint, it was fascinating to discover that when the pieces were finished and we began moving them in relation to each other and then rotating each on on its own axis, there were for all practical purposes an infinite number of configurations possible, six figures configured in every possible way, with each capable of being rotated through four quadrants. It was a number with a gigantic number of zeros after it. More fascinating was the fact that each different configuration had its own merit. I believe if I had this one on my property I would change it slightly every month or so...just out of curiosity. On a related note, if you look in this section at the sculpture called The Ancients, just shooting it at night vs. day and from a different angle makes it look just drastically different. I kinda like that...
