Free-standing Galaxy Fountains

When you look at this sculpture, it looks very purposeful, as if it should be calculating the instantaneous velocity of the Earth.  The second thing you notice is that it's pretty hard to take your eyes off it.  It's just inherently interesting to look at, with the water running down the face, the downlighting and the lights shining through the various colored panes of Lexan.  It is a feast for the eyes!  The only problem we had was naming it.  Just looking at it, I wanted to call it clock-work pendulum, though Cameron, who made this particular one pointed out that there was no actual clock work.......or for that matter any pendulum.  Other than that...  Whatever you call it is fine with us.  Put it in the corner of your living room and come up with your own story to tell when folks come over and ask what it does!
